A 1-year-old child that was involved in the accident at Baldwin Blvd. and Staples St. has died, according to the Corpus Christi Police Department.

The girl died yesterday, Senior Officer Travis Pace told KRIS 6 News. A 3-year-old boy is still in the hospital.

The accident happened at the intersection of Baldwin Boulevard and Staples Street just before 7 p.m. Tuesday night.

The driver of a truck was turning left from Staples onto Baldwin, and failed to yield to a car, according to officers with the CCPD. The truck and car collided.
