Thieves have delayed progress on three local Habitat for Humanity Projects.
A utility trailer full of tools and equipment needed for the projects was stolen from the Habitat Restore on Lipan Street Tuesday.
Surveillance video shows a white or light-colored SUV pull into a fenced-off area of the store, where thieves broke a lock on one trailer and stole equipment volunteers use in their building projects.
The thieves also took a trailer that Habitat for Humanity purchased back in November.
Habitat says the total monetary loss is about $15,000, but the loss to families who had been working on their homes is much greater. The theft will delay work on their homes as well as other upcoming projects.
