More than 100 volunteers were at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery to conduct a little clean up after the holiday season.
Volunteers today removed wreaths that had been placed on veteran’s graves last month.
“I just think it’s important we remember our vets and we take care of them,” said Air Force veteran Ginger Bryant. “Even after they pass we should pay respect and honor.”
More than 22,000 of the artificial wreaths were collected today, and they’ll reused again next year for the Christmas holiday.
