A Coastal Bend community credit union says they are stepping up and assisting their customers if they are affected due to the government shutdown.

A spokesperson for NavyArmy community credit union says they are helping their customers on a case by case basis. When it comes to loans or services they offer to their customers, the financial institution says they’re looking at the whole financial picture.

Ashley Smtih, who is a Chief Marketing Officer with NavyArmy credit union, said, “NavyArmy is committed to their members and we want to make sure that we are doing the best by our members so we will look at the whole account and make sure that we are coming up with a solution that best fits the members needs.”

Smith also encourages any government worker who is affected by the shutdown to give the financial institution a call.
