According to city officials, an upcoming project will address residential streets in Corpus Christi that are in poor condition.

Some of these roads that will soon have work taking place by this project include Bois D Arc Place from Greenwood, Fleet Avenue from Beechcraft, Ryan Street and more.

“I think it’s something fantastic, it’s long overdue I figured it should’ve been done years ago,” says resident Dorothy Johnson.

The 2016 residential street rebuild project was passed by voters in the November 2016 election. The City of Corpus Christi announced that approximately seventy blocks were selected within five districts.

Martha Savoy has been a resident in District 3 for 53 years, she says in the past only certain spots on her road have been covered and she also says that does nothing.

“We got this beautiful town and all these ragged rugged streets it needs to be rebuilt,” says Savoy.

The meeting will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019, at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be at the Greenwood Senior Center located along Greenwood Drive.  The event is hosted by the City of Corpus Christi public works department, city street operations and engineering services.

The City of Corpus Christi anticipates having work completed in all five districts by the summer of 2019.
