Wet roads could be a factor in an overnight car crash that injured two people and left another in critical condition.

The accident happened around 1:30 a.m. on Interstate 37 Northbound near the exit for Tuloso Road.

Corpus Christi police say a man driving a pickup truck rear-ended a Ford Mercury and the force of the crash pushed both vehicles off the road and into a ditch.

Police tell us two people in the car were hurt along with the driver of the truck who was thrown from his vehicle.

The truck driver is said to be in critical condition.

Police are still investigating the accident but sat it may have been due to foggy weather and wet roads.
