Students from Texas State University and the University of Indianapolis have exhumed the remains of 13 bodies in Falfurrias believed to be undocumented immigrants who died while travelling through South Texas.
The exhumations are part of a project called Operation Identification, and the remains will now be sent to a lab at the Texas State campus for identification.
Organizers say the goal of the project is to identify the people and contact their loved ones.
