Today was the last day on the job for Corpus Christi Fire Department Captain James Brown.

At 56 years old, Brown is retiring from the department after 36 years of service.

Brown has served CCFD as Captain for the last 15 years and as the department’s public information officer for six years.

Brown says what he’ll miss most is the camaraderie and brotherhood that exists at any fire station.

Brown officially retires on Jan. 20, and says he looks forward to spending more time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
