A man was injured in an explosion after attempting to make fireworks in his home.
The 37-year-old man is recovering from injuries to his hands, according to officials from the Corpus Christi Police Department.
It happened just after 10:30 Sunday night on the 4800 block of Prinston Dr, near Staples St. and McArdle Rd. The bomb squad was called in to remove some of the materials the man was using to make the fireworks.
No one else was injured. The man faces charges of child endangerment because there were children inside the home at the time.
