A local family won’t be spending Christmas at a shelter, thanks to the Corpus Christi Embassy Suites Hotel.

The hotel staff worked with the Salvation Army to find a family in need of a Christmas miracle.  As a result, Adrian Richardson and her four children Jayden (8), Mikah (6), Zaire (5), and Isabella (2) will spend the holiday at the hotel in a complimentary suite, which was packed with presents.

The Richardsons’ stay at the Corpus Christi Salvation Army Shelter, one of the requirements for staying at the shelter is that parents be employed.  Adrian was working as a Bell Ringer for the Salvation Army before the holidays, but with her job ending after Christmas, Embassy Suites gave Adrian a special gift – a job at the hotel.

The hotel’s “Make a Difference” committee organized fundraisers to make this possible.  Members say they hope to make this a new holiday tradition, possibly expanding to more than one family.
