A ribbon cutting today paid tribute to retiring Nueces County Judge Loyd Neal.

Ground was broken for the project at the county airport in Robstown just more than a year ago. And today, the County Judge Loyd Neal Airport Terminal was officially dedicated.

Judge Neal says the facility will be crucial to the economic development of Robstown.

“The western part of the county is going to flourish. This airport is in a position to really help economic development in Robstown and the county,” Neal said. “The I-69 corridor is really going to develop over the next decade, and having a general aviation airport here will be a great asset.”

Neal says he is incredibly humbled by the tribute and excited about the terminal’s potential.
