Jose Trevino hosts 2nd annual toy drive baseball camp

Texas Rangers catcher, Jose Trevino,  is hosting his 2nd annual baseball camp on Saturday, Dec. 15th at the St. John Paul II baseball field.

The camp will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for children 12 and under.

The deadline to register your child online is Dec. 10th. Those wishing to participate must bring two or more unwrapped toys.

Around the Horn is a competition high schoolers can participate in following the baseball camp beginning at 1:00 p.m.

High schoolers wanting to participate must register online before Dec. 10th., have a team of 10 members from the same high school and bring 40 or more unwrapped toys (four per player).

Local professional baseball players will make an appearance, including Aaron Hernandez (Los Angeles Angels), Michael Cantu (San Diego Padres), Mike Franco (Tampa Bay Rays), and Michael Berglund (Tampa Bay Rays).

Autograph and Q&A session with guests will take place after the Around the Horn winners are announced.

All proceeds will benefit West Side Helping Hand.

Winning Around the Horn team will receive:

  • All-Star Catcher’s Gear
  • G-Form Protection Gear
  • Zinger Training Bat PAck
  • 10 Pairs of Franklin Batting Gloves
  • 10 Wooden Bats (donated by former teammates for Jose Trevino)
