A fire at a local automotive shop prompted emergency crews to shut down a portion of S. Staples this morning, a major rush hour thoroughfare. It has since been reopened, but use caution in the area.
Firefighters responded to the fire on the 2700 block of S. Staples, near Annapolis Dr., just after 4 a.m. A small shack was on fire when crews arrived, which is detached from an automotive shop.
The flames were quickly put out and no injuries were reported.
At this time, S. Staples at Annapolis Dr. Is closed off while fire crews investigate.
