After 20 days in custody, Judge Guy Williams today was released from the Nueces County Jail.

Williams had been in jail since Nov. 9, after his bond was revoked from an arrest in May on charges of public intoxication and resisting arrest.

On Nov. 8, Williams was arrested for driving while intoxicated and unlawful carrying of a weapon at the Island Villa Apartment Homes on Nile Drive.

Conditions of his release on the May arrest prohibited Williams from possessing firearms outside of his home. At the time on his Nov. 8 arrest, officers found three handguns in Williams’ car, leading to his most recent incarceration.

At a hearing on Nov. 27, Judge Sid Harle increased Williams’ bond from $1,000 to $2,000, and directed that he wear a GPS monitor and remain under house arrest while seeking treatment for PTSD. Williams was also ordered to surrender all firearms and abstain from alcohol and drugs.
