It’s another sure sign of the holiday season here in Corpus Christi. This as residents, merchants, and children celebrated the 32nd annual lighting of Lamar Park.

There was live music, carolers, dancers from the Nutcracker Ballet, and of course an appearance by Santa for this event.

Folks also had a chance to enter a raffle for merchandise from each store in the shopping center Tuesday night. Proceeds from the raffle will help out the Corpus Christi Metro Ministries.

Patty Clark, the CEO of Corpus Christi Metro Ministries, said the non-profit organization serves of seven thousand homeless people a year. “For 36 years, and we do those things that help people get a hand up so they can return to lead a productive life,” Clark said.

You have plenty of time to check out those lights at Lamar Park because they’ll be up until the New Year.
