Thanksgiving dinner is a tradition that is meant to be shared with others. Friends and families typically travel long distances to do so, but sometimes, the festivities are right next door.

For another year, Ali Garcia, owner of Ali’s Cafe, will be opening her doors to serve a free Thanksgiving meal to anyone who walks in.

The Garcia Family Thanksgiving dinner will be served Tuesday, November 20, starting at 12 p.m. until the foods run out.

Everyone is more than welcome to come enjoy turkey, stuffing and other holiday trimmings.

“I have been so blessed with the support of our community, why not share and give back? They all support us all year, and we just appreciate them, and, there’s always somebody out there that needs a meal. It’s our tradition. This is a family restaurant so we need to do that for them too,” said Ali’s Café owner Ali Garcia.

Ali’s Café has been doing this for 6 years now.

“We are thrilled to continue this longstanding tradition and welcome people from the area and the surrounding area to celebrate in this cherished family tradition,” said Garcia.

Last year they served more than 300 people, and with this pre-Thanksgiving dinner, they’re hoping to welcome the same numbers or more.

Ali’s Café is located at 2929 Norton St. in Corpus Christi, TX.
