KRIS 6 News is giving a Thumbs Up! to the Beeville Ladies Night Out committee for their generous donation to CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Beeville.
The non-profit group donated more than $36,000 to the hospital.
The money was raised earlier this year at the 14th Annual Beeville Ladies Night Out event. More than 500 guests from the Beeville community attended the boutique-shopping event to raise funds to support their community hospital.
Since 2004, the event has raised more than $350,000 for CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Beeville, which has helped to provide pediatric services in the Emergency Department, breast cancer screening equipment for Women Services, nursing excellence advancements, pediatric infusion pumps, new wheelchairs and much more.
This money donated this year will go toward a new GlideScope instrument to be used to smoothly intubate babies and patients before surgery or in a code situation and an Olympus EndoEye HD Camera for precision in laparoscopic imaging.
