An SUV that was stuck in the Oso Bay near the mud bridge was pulled out of the water by a local off road group Thursday.

Officers were alerted that there was a vehicle in the water near Yorktown at the Oso Bay. Due to the location of the vehicle, officers decided to wait until low tide to try and pull the vehicle out.

However, the owner of the SUV, Colton Williams reached out to a local Facebook group called 361 Off Road Rescue. Some of their members pulled the SUV out of the mud, and didn’t ask for anything in return.

Williams said he offered to pay the group but they refused because “rescuing vehicles from the bay is what they do.”

We are giving this group a Thumbs Up! for helping those in need of a vehicle rescue.
