An Aransas Pass man is behind bars in the San Patricio County Jail, charged with murdering his wife.
According to the Aransas Pass Police Department, Bruce Spears Sr. was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly poisoning his wife, Cindy Spears, in May.
Police say Cindy Spears was taken by Halo-Flight to a hospital in Austin on May3. She was pronounced dead on May 6.
Bruce Spears’ bond is set at $300,000.
Police say a limited amount of information regarding the case is being release due to ongoing prosecution.
