Hundreds of your neighbors gathered over at Cole Park with their four-legged friends.
The event is sponsored by local attorney Thomas J. Henry. A pet costume contest and expo raise money for local animal rescue groups.
The seventh annual “Bark in the Park” was held Saturday afternoon.
Organizers say this started several years ago to bring together pet-owners and families to raise money and awareness for animal initiatives in the community.
A representative for Thomas J. Henry says this started as a small event to help out local non-profit companies who held animals and it has led to a very large friendly family event.
All the money raised will go to PALS, Pee-Wees and the Gulf Coast Humane Society
