The Silver Advocate Partners, Adult Protective Services along with several community partners, will be hosting a free half-day information session today on the topic of protecting yourself from becoming a victim of financial exploitation.
The eighth Annual Financial Exploitation Awareness Expo titled: “Protecting Yourself” will consist of a series of presentations from community experts on topics such as: protecting yourself from scams and deals, Medicare fraud and property & personal protection.
The event is being held at the Joe Garza Recreation Center at 3204 Highland Ave. next to the Zavala Senior Center from 8:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.
