Several local power crews are on their way to Florida to help in the aftermath of Hurricane Michael.
More than 120 AEP Texas employees and contractors from Corpus Christi, Abilene, San Angelo, Laredo and the Rio Grande Valley left yesterday for the Florida panhandle. The crews assembled in El Campo before leaving.
AEP says the crews will help restore power to any areas affected by the storm.
