The southbound lanes of US 181 will be reduced to two lanes between Beach Avenue and Burleson Street beginning on Oct. 10 through Dec. 31 as part of the Harbor Bridge Project.
The lane reductions are necessary to complete drainage work on the highway.
The frontage road will remain open. All work will be dependent on weather.
Motorists are urged to be aware of the lane closures and to consider using alternate routes. They also are urged to follow all traffic control devices and slow down in work zones.
