Corpus Christi Police is warning that anyone with plans to drink this labor weekend should have plans to not drive.  Police are teaming up with state troopers this Labor Day weekend looking for drunk drivers.

Law enforcement is enforcing a zero-tolerance/no-refusal operation.  Dozens of officers will be on patrol throughout the city.  Police say they want people to have a fun but safe holiday weekend.

“This is nothing new this has been a crime for a long time and it will continue to be a crime that we will aggressively deal with,” Lt. J.C. Hooper tells KRIS-TV.

Authorities advise to not risk getting pulled over.  They recommend those who want to drink to have a designated driver or have a taxi or rideshare service take you home safely.
