Corpus Christi police officers are looking for two suspects who allegedly took part in an armed jewelry heist.

Police say they were called in reference to an armed robbery around 6:30 p.m. Sunday evening at the Corpus Christi Trade Center.

Detectives say a victim told police three suspects started grabbing jewelry and a weapon was displayed.

Officers couldn’t give many details about the incident because it was under investigation. They later told KRIS 6 News at the scene that they were able to catch one suspect and added two more suspects are on the loose.

Crime scene technicians documented evidence at the scene to see if any of the suspects left their fingerprints.

Police didn’t know the exact amount of jewelry taken at the scene. Detectives say they will look at surveillance video surrounding the area to get a description of the suspects.

Anyone with information about this crime is urged to call Crimestoppers at 888-TIPS.
