A recent report in Firehouse Magazine reveals how ambulance crews at Corpus Christi’s Fire Station #3, located on Morgan Avenue, really have their hands full.

Their medic unit is ranked as the sixth busiest ambulance in the country, and tops in Texas.

This is the list of the busiest ambulances in the nation. The men and women at Station 3 are the 6th busiest in the Nation and 1st in the state of Texas. Our men and women are out there putting in work!

Crews at Station #3 respond to 20 to 25 calls on an average shift.

The first responders at the station say the reason for their higher than normal workload is location. Station #3’s area of responsibility stretches from Ocean Drive to Port Avenue, along with areas near Leopard and Staples streets right before Kostoryz Road.

Adapting to this workload can be a challenge, but medics say it’s all part of their jobs.
