School districts in Texas that helped educate Harvey-displaced students are eligible to apply for their share of $174 million in federal grants.

The Texas Education Agency announced the assistance Tuesday along with a list of over 300 eligible districts. Several local school districts, including Corpus Christi, Robstown, Aransas County, Gregory-Portland, Refugio and Flour Bluff, are eligible to apply for the grant. The full list is posted to the TEA website.

The assistance comes from the Temporary Emergency Impact Aid for Displaced Students program.

The TEA earlier this year provided the U.S. Department of Education with information, submitted by districts and charter schools, regarding the displaced students.

Eligible school districts will be contacted on how to apply for the federal grant funding.
