A local non-profit is helping two United States Air Force Airmen reunite with their dogs.

Meet Kral and Syri, two dogs adopted by two service members while they were stationed in the Middle East.

The men have since returned to the U.S. but getting their dogs here has been challenging. The dogs were rescued from the Middle East, taken to Jordan then flown to New York.

Now, Faith and Hope Foundation is helping them reunite with their owners.

Connie Bowen, President of Faith and Hope Foundation said “They were puppies whenever they found them, we’ve got some pictures of them very small. One of them had its ears cut off and I thought that was very responsible, they’re both under 30 years old, I know that. It was just a responsible move to say ‘We’re going to leave, but we’re not going to leave our dogs here.’.”

The dogs are leaving Corpus Christi Wednesday and will complete their mission, arriving in El Paso Thursday where their owners will be waiting for them.
