CORPUS CHRISTI – Local members of the Navy took part in the 56th Annual Navy Regatta held on the Corpus Christi Bay.
Captain Phil Brock, Commanding Officer of Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, says, this competition is powered by wind and manpower.
About one hundred sailors on 23 boats raced from the Corpus Christi Yacht Club to Naval Air Station Corpus Christi.
Captain Phil Brock says the Regatta is important to the city’s heritage.
“It’s just a great time to go out and have some fun, and have a good time with the people that support us so well and that is the community of Corpus Christi,” Captain Brock continued.
