A group of burglars broke into the Greenwood Pool overnight.
According to police, an employee arrived to work at 9 a.m. Thursday and found someone broke into the facility on the 4300 block of Greenwood Drive.
Officers believe a suspect or suspects jumped over a fence and kicked an office door open.
Once inside, they stole $20 from a register and a tablet that contained information on the city facility.
They also threw a table in the pool’s deep end before leaving.
Employees told police the facility has a security system in place but the facility has had electrical issues with their alarm system. That may be the reason it didn’t go off.
A work order had been issued to get it fixed.
Officers hope surveillance cameras may have caught the thieves who broke in.
