CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi police have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with a recent shooting in the 5200 block of Weber.
Khalid Runnels remains in jail after being charged on one count of murder in connection with the death of Miguel Rhodes on Dec. 29.
Bond for Runnels has been set at $250,000.
When officers arrived at the shooting scene early on Dec. 29, they found Rhodes unresponsive and began performing CPR. The victim was transported to the hospital by medics where he eventually died.
CCPD's Gang Unit arrested Runnels in the 3900 block of Montego. He was then taken to the City Detention Center for processing.
