CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Corpus Christi police are looking for a suspect who shot and killed a 17-year-old boy in a shooting on the westside.

The shooting happened at the intersection of Leigh and Villa Drive just after 9 p.m. Sunday.

Police say an argument led to the shooting.

The suspect arrived at a home on the 3000 block of Leigh Dr. and argued with the victim in the driveway before shooting at him several times, striking him in the chest.

Police are now actively searching for the suspect, who is believed to have driven off in a white or grey pick-up truck with lights underneath.

Corpus Christi Police Lt. Michael Pena said this was not a random act of violence and the victim and the suspect knew each other.
