CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A young boy was shot in an apparent drive by on Shoreline Boulevard.
Police responded to the call Saturday before 6 p.m.. Lieutenant Michael Pena said there were several shots fired at a vehicle from another vehicle.
The boy was reportedly shot somewhere in the head. Pena said the boy was conscious and breathing before he was transported to Spohn Shoreline Hospital. No word on his current condition.
A male driver, female passenger, and two other children were also in the same vehicle as the victim.
Police say they know who the suspect is and are working on locating them.
The entire northbound lane is being diverted from Starr Street to Taylor Street while police investigate.
