SINTON, Texas — UPDATE: Bond has been set for the two men arrested in connection with the slashing of cotton bales in San Patricio County.
Bond was set at $20,000 for Charles Walker Rhodes of Taft and Justin Wayne Pullin, also of Taft.
Pullin posted bond and was released. Rhodes remains in San Patricio County Jail as of Friday afternoon.
Rhodes and Pullin were arrested Thursday and charged with felony criminal mischief felony.
Sheriff Oscar Rivera said both suspects were arrested in Taft by San Patricio County investigators.
Earlier this month a number of cotton bales were found slashed open. The vandalism resulted in thousands of dollars lost for farmers.
Investigators say they used surveillance video to track down the suspects. No reward money was used.
