CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi mayor Joe McComb has already announced that he is running for re-election, and now he has a challenger.
His name is Eric Rodriguez.
“Living here on the coast, I think environmental issues is a huge thing,” said Rodriguez.
“And I believe that's one of my main qualifications is being able to look at those types of issues and finding solutions for those.”
Rodriguez is a single father who for the past decade has handled environmental management for the department of defense.
He kicked off his campaign Thursday night at the House of Rock.
