Latchkey Program needs some good people to work with kids

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The city's Latchkey After School Program will begin soon and has several vacancies to fill.

The Latchkey program offers a safe and supervised environment for kids after they get out of school.

The Parks and Recreation Department is hiring staff to work with the program and they have 36 part-time vacancies.

The main qualification for these jobs?

You should enjoy working with elementary school-age kids.

“So the ideal candidate will be energetic and willing to assist and supervise children on a daily basis, Monday through Friday,” said Lisa Oliver of the Parks and Recreation Department.

The job pays just over $10 an hour and the work schedule is from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
