CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Two kayakers who were stranded near Rockport on Monday night had to be rescued by a Coast Guard helicopter crew.
The kayakers were on Grass Island just before 6 p.m. when last night's front blew in.
Winds were nearly 30 miles per hour.
There were one to three-foot seas and the water temperature was 45 degrees.
The helicopter was sent to pull them out because of the poor weather conditions.
The kayakers were checked out at the Aransas County Airport and were reported to be in good condition.
