Be a buddy, not a bully. That’s the message H-E-B is taking to schools across the state.

It’s a fun, live show called the H-E-B Buddy League and one that is taken to 27 schools across Texas every year.

Through an interactive presentation, kids are taught to choose kindness, respect, courage and inclusion.

The live Buddy League show was brought to the kids at Rose Shaw Elementary on Wednesday.

“We strongly believe here at Shaw that working with children at the younger age and instilling empathy and kindness with them is essential so they are buddies and not bullies,” said Rebecca Casas, principal at Rose Shaw Elementary.

October is National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month.
