CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A new execution date has been set for convicted killer John Henry Ramirez.
He’s now scheduled to be put to death on September 9.
Ramirez was sentenced to death for the July 2004 murder of convenience store employee Pablo Castro.
Castro was stabbed to death after he was robbed of just a dollar and 25 cents.
Ramirez was originally scheduled to be executed in Feb 2017, but a judge granted a stay.
