CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — We've got a big election coming up but you can't vote if you're not registered.
Today was the perfect day to take care of that.
It’s “National Voter Registration Day.”
There were plenty of folks registering at the Nueces County Elections Office.
One newly registered voter told us why he decided to register.
“The Hispanic community is very, very big here in Texas and the Hispanic community has to learn that they have to participate because of the changes,” said Casey Flores, who registered on Tuesday. “If you don't do anything about it, there's not going to be no changes.”
And If you didn't register to vote today, you've still got time.
The deadline is Oct. 5.
