The United States has reached another grim milestone resulting from the pandemic.

According to a new NBC News report, there have been more than 60 million COVID-19 cases recorded in the country since the pandemic began in 2020.

Meanwhile, more than 840,000 have died from COVID-19.

It all comes as the delta and omicron variants of the virus continues to surge simultaneously.
