CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — UPDATE: The Gregory-Portland ISD will be closing all schools to all employees at 4 p.m. Friday.

As a result, GP-ISD officials have closed of the G-P middle school campus to all staff until further notice.

An email from the district states, "These three individuals reported having been near one another simultaneously while on campus, and of the three, only one qualified to be tested for COVID-19."

The District believes the employees were at GP middle school between March 18 to March 20, 2020.

According to the school district, the results are currently pending.

Due to health privacy laws, the district is not able to provide additional information. But they added they are working with the San Patricio health department to identify anyone who may have come into contact with the three employees.
