CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A Texas State Aquarium (TSA) employee has tested positive for COVID-19.

The employee tested positive on June 27 and was last in the Aquarium on June 20.

"The safety of our guests and employees remains the Aquarium’s top priority," says a press release from TSA. "We continue to urge all employees to remain vigilant and follow appropriate social distancing and sanitary practices in and outside the Aquarium."

TSA officials say the employee's work area has been sanitized, and employees who may have been exposed are self-quarantining for 14 days.

According to a press release from TSA, the employee works had minimal contact with guests or co-workers working behind-the-scenes in the Aquarium’s operations division.
