TAFT ISD football player tests positive for COVID-19

TAFT, Texas — An athlete attending football practice in TAFT has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a post from Coach Arriana McDonald, Taft ISD Athletic Trainer, and Coach J.R. Castellano, Taft ISD Athletic Director/Head Football Coach, the positive case was discovered Aug. 3.

Student-athletes who attended have been notified and told to self-quarantine for 14 days. Football practice has been put on hold until further notice.
