The coronavirus continues to impact classrooms throughout the area.
Students in the Freer Independent School District will transition to remote learning starting today.
The district was notified over the weekend that seven students and seven employees have tested positive for the virus.
As a precaution, Freer ISD will remain on virtual learning until the end of the week.
And the Skidmore-Tynan ISD is making changes to its class schedules for the second semester.
School administrators announced students will be released early each Friday.
This will allow teachers time to assist students that have fallen behind. It'll also give teachers an opportunity to tweak lesson plans as the semester continues.
The Beeville Independent School District is also making changes and has implemented new requirements for students and staff this semester.
The district is now requiring virtual screenings for coronavirus symptoms before stafff and students can return to school campuses.
They can do so on the district's website or use the frontline app.
The screenings will begin today.
