There was a lot of celebrating in the Rockport-Fulton area on Friday.
Rockport-Fulton High School seniors paraded around town in their cars as members of the community stood on the sidewalks cheering them on.
The Pirates made their way through downtown Rockport in painted vehicles and holding up signs letting everyone know which colleges and universities they'll be attending in the fall.
The pandemic has been a rough period for many students across the nation, but this group of students aren't strangers to hard times. Many of the students were sophomores when Hurricane Harvey ripped through the community in 2017.
The high school's graduation ceremony is set for Thursday, May 21.
