Refugio Co. announced its first confirmed case of COVID-19 on Thursday.
County officials said the patient is a man in his 50s, who is being isolated.
The man's identity will not be released, as with all other patients, in accordance with HIPAA statutes.
The case reportedly is the result of community transmission.
The Texas Department is helping the county reach out to the man's close contacts, and contact tracing.
