Port Aransas beach vehicle ban enforcement concerns local officials

PORT ARANSAS, Texas — On Sunday, Port Aransas Mayor Charles Bujan announced his city no longer had the funds to pay Port Aransas police overtime to patrol the city beaches and enforce the county's orders.

He said if the county wants to send deputies to enforce county orders it could do that.

We stopped by Port Aransas on Sunday and found the beaches were packed.
