CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — An employee of the Nueces County Appraisal District has tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

"That person is currently self-isolating at home and the county is taking necessary disinfecting measures." said a press release from the city of Corpus Christi. "The work spaces will be disinfected and those who must self-quarantine will be able to work remotely."

The Nueces County Public Health District is contact tracing with co-workers and others who may have come into contact with the infected individual.

Nueces County officials say they are fully functional to work remotely and have been since early in the COVID-19 pandemic.
