Mathis H-E-B employee tests positive for COVID-19

MATHIS, Texas — H-E-B announced that an employee of an H-E-B in Mathis has tested positive for COVID-19.

The store location where the employee was working is 601 E. San Patricio St..

H-E-B calls their employees partners. This specific partner was last at work on May 13.

"As COVID-19 continues to impact communities around the world, our H-E-B family of more than 120,000 Partners has not gone unaffected," said a press release from H-E-B.

H-E-B assures that the other store employees have been notified and the store has been deep cleaned and sanitized multiple times.

"While the pandemic is an evolving situation with many unknowns, we are sure of one thing: We will do our part to help our fellow Texans in any situation our company and communities might face," said H-E-B in a press release.

The identity of the employee has not been released due to privacy laws.
